Charging an electric vehicle in six minutes demonstrated
Voltempo™ announces a world first: Building an EV battery, installing it a vehicle and demonstrating it charging from flat-to-full in under six minutes.
In 2020, the company set itself a challenge to create and demonstrate an EV battery system that could be charged in six minutes or less. Less than five months later, the challenge was completed, not only building the battery, but building the charging system and integrating the battery into an electric vehicle. The company believes it is the first in the world to be able to publicly demonstrate the system.
In the video above, Michael Boxwell, Voltempo’sTM CEO, gives a short demonstration of our system and charges the EV from 1% state of charge to 100% in just five minutes and forty seconds.
Over the coming months, we will be running several public demonstrations of our unique system.
