Neil has almost forty years of experience in electrical engineering, beginning his career in the mid-1980s building transformers and substations. He has extensive experience designing large-scale electrical systems, including infrastructure projects for residential, commercial, industrial, energy, transport, and healthcare. He began working on EV charging in 2016, firstly as lead engineer for multiple charging hub installations at Heathrow Airport, then working with Michael Boxwell jointly developing a battery-backed 20-vehicle rapid charging hub and a rapid charger for another charge-point manufacturer. Neil and Michael subsequently formed Voltempo in 2019.
