David was previously an executive director of Associated British Foods plc and chief executive of TDG plc. He is currently deputy chairman of John Menzies plc, a senior independent director of Speedy Hire plc, and chairman of several private companies, including the Oakwood Partnership, which he founded in 2010. Oakwood advises early-stage businesses on growth strategies and works with management teams to support successful implementation.
