Voltempo™ wins £750,000 grant to create a transportable Hypercharging™ electric vehicle charging hub

Voltempo™ has won a £750,000 Innovate UK grant to help develop a transportable version of its Hypercharging™ electric vehicle charging hub. The grant will be used to develop both the technology and the business case for an ultra-rapid charging hub that can be delivered to a new site and operational within hours, for both short-term trials and long-term use.

Transitioning to electric vehicles is a huge task for fleets, particularly with light and heavy commercial vehicles that have large batteries and require high power charging. eVc PowerTech will use the grant fund to package their Hypercharging™ technology into a transportable system that can be set up anywhere and can charge multiple vehicles at hypercharge speeds. The solution will be available for fleets to hire on a week-by-week basis to allow them to evaluate electric vehicles in their fleet. If fleet operators subsequently buy a Hypercharging™ system, the initial rental fee is refunded.
